*Hope and Change Has Become Predictable Liberalism, by Troy Senik.

“During the 2008 campaign, the concavity of his message (Hope and Change) allowed Americans of irreconcilable bearings to invest their common aspirations in him. But as the first act of his presidency has played out, he has shown himself to be anything but transcendent. Instead, he is an utterly predictable creature – a conventional liberal who mixes the weakness of Jimmy Carter with the ideological rigidity of George McGovern. And he is thus engaged in a conversation that the rest of the country concluded decades ago.”

This article is so good, you must read it.  Must I say, Must!!!

*Republicans Have Obama Playing Defense, by Fred Barnes.  I think he gives the GOP to much credit.  Obama is on the defense because of the citizenry, not the GOP, and the Republicans would be wise to remember that.  People are pissed at everyone on the hill right now; pulling the GOP card will mean exactly nothing unless that is backed by a deep and pervasive commitment to conservative principles.

*Air America now calling Obama a fascist.  No, seriously.

*To Hell With the Political Class: Simply put, the government needs to learn its place.  By Mellissa Clouthier.

“But that’s exactly where politicians live. It’s a bubble land of no consequences. The only thing that engenders fear is the prospect of losing personal power. But even that concerns them little as they rig the system so that incumbents can enjoy permanent places of power. They spend the taxpayer’s money like tax revenue falls from magical, ever-producing gold trees. Americans thought this new administration would be rational. It’s not just more of the same. It’s worse.”
