Yes, that’s right. The US and Canada are now equal in terms of government expenditure as a percentage of GDP. We haven’t even experienced the hit of free public health care or increased K-12 or universal preschool or dozens of other Obama campaign promises.

If the U.S. sees an increase in taxes above that of Canada, be prepared for a lot of flight up to that country. With lax citizenship requirements and lower taxes, expect a lot of jobs to open up north of the border.
